At Granite Financial, we have a true passion for helping individuals, families and businesses identify their long-term goals and create strategies designed to achieve them. We’re also passionate about making a difference in our community, in our profession and even beyond our nation’s borders.
I enjoy opportunities to help others in my profession, and currently sit on the Securities America Advisory Council on Technology, a position offered to those in the upper tier of the wealth management firm’s national advisor force. I was honored to participate as a panel member discussing long-term care planning at the Fourth Annual Ladenburg Institute of Women & Finance Symposium in Chicago and as a panelist discussing managed money at the Advise 2020 conference in Atlanta.
I have previously served as a Girl Scout troop leader and taught Girls Group, a church program focusing on girls in 4th and 5th grade. Helping to guide the next generation is something I feel strongly about giving my time to. With those two opportunities ending, I am looking forward to the next opportunity to serve!
As A Company, our firm coordinates an annual supply drive with our clients to support local organizations. These events have supported Terebinth Refuge, Anna Marie’s Alliance, Catholic Charities Food Shelf and St. Cloud Area Toys for Tots We have enjoyed creating meal packs for Feed My Starving Children and for the past several years we have supported financially through sponsorships the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, the St. Cloud Chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the Haitian Hustle.
Beginning in 2017, our son has collected pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. To date, he has collected an estimated 70,000 tabs with the help of family, friends and clients. Our family is very active in our church and we enjoy helping others, whether it is through labor or financial means. We sponsor four children through World Vision, Food for the Hungry and Compassion International. Each Christmas, we sponsor a local family of limited means; the children particularly enjoy helping choose meaningful gifts, wrapping and delivering them.
My husband and I have participated in mission trips and look forward to including our children on future trips. We believe it’s important to teach our kids these sorts of lessons in life – giving back to others is something that was instilled in us, and we want to instill that in our children as well.
