Our Story

Laurie Humphrey and Granite Financial
During my youth, I watched my Mom work as an assistant in the financial services industry and then go on to build a successful business of her own – even though very few women worked as financial professionals at the time. My Mother’s commitment to helping clients realize their dreams and her example of mentoring others inspired me to choose a career in financial services.
Early in my career, I worked as a brokerage manager for a long-term care insurance firm, where I trained more than 2,000 agents. In 2006, I joined Granite Financial in client service and marketing roles. After obtaining my financial license, I began helping clients create strategies and build plans based on their individual situations and goals. When my Mom retired, I purchased and assumed leadership of the company I had helped grow.
Since my first days as a financial adviser, I have always focused on having open conversations about challenging topics related to finance, building deep, enduring bonds with clients and sharing down-to-earth recommendations. Knowing few things are more uniquely personal than your finances and the health of your wealth, my team and I take a truly individualized approach to each and every relationship.
